Seminar Description
According to Forrester Research, in 2006 about 700,000 households in the US used podcasting, and that number will grow to 12.3 million households in the US by 2010. This means in four years, about a third of those MP3 owners will be listening to podcasts on those devices.
The opportunities for government agencies to increase the reach of their messages and create a tighter bond with constituents through podcasting have never been better, as the size of the podcast audience continue to increase. If you're looking for new media channels to reach constituents, to build community and to strengthen relationships with existing audiences, podcasting is a solution you should explore.
In this half–day course, you'll learn how podcasting works, how to put podcasting to work for your agency, how to get the most out of a podcast and how to produce a podcast. You'll learn everything you need know to begin producing a professional podcast that attracts listeners, builds community and generates measurable results. About the Instructor
Shel Holtz, an accredited business communicator, is the principal of Holtz Communication + Technology. He consults with Fortune 500–sized organizations on the application of online technology to organizational communication.
He has written or co-written several books on communication, including "Tactical Transparency," "Blogging for Business," "Corporate Conversations," "How to Do "verything with Podcasting" and "Public Relations on the Net."
Shel is a Fellow of the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) and a Founding Fellow of the Society for New Communication Research (SNCR).
